Curious about the state of Circus in the Art-World at large?! Have you wondered what it takes to produce genre-hopping work that operates outside the theatrical box? Check out this campaign by CNTalk writer and arts advocate Sarah Muehlbauer as she does just that—while reaching out on behalf of CN to give you the inside scoop on the how’s, why’s, and unique potential of the medium—from the mouths of curators and circus leaders.
Circus Flora strongly believes that circus is an art form that should be welcoming to all to enjoy and experience. In addition to having a fully accessible Big Top and special performances for individuals with food allergies, Circus Flora leads a year-round therapeutic clowning program in two children’s hospitals and other outreach programs for underserved families and children. Now, we’d like to create a live performance unlike any other offered in the metro region. Circus Flora needs your support to create a sensory friendly performance for those with autism and other developmental disabilities.
